Fluffy and effervescent, perfect for that cottage core, cozy garden. They can vary in color from pale pink and peaches, to having hints of cream and butter yellow. Adds dramatic height to borders. Easy to grow from seed and gather seed from. Self seeds readily and pollinators love these flowers. Hollyhocks are beautiful in the garden but unfortunately don’t make great cut flowers.
Take note that hollyhocks are prone to rust, a fungus that makes orangish spots on leaves and stalks. This can be treated, preferably proactively with a copper fungicide. It has no real effect on the flowers.
